What to see in Indonesia, Bali, Gili Air – 6 days itinerary

Bali

Seminyak (1 night)

1 day

  • Signature Hotel Bali – very cheap and good condition. Don’t eat in hotel restaurant. (200.000 IDR double room).
  • Uluwatu Temple (20.000 IDR entrance).
  • Kecak fire dance during sunset (100.000 IDR ticket).
  • Ask driver about “Jimbaran Beach Cafe”. Supercool option for dinner on the beach.

Ubud (2 nights)

2 day

  • Gusti Kaler House – highly recommended – hosts are amazing and breakfast included. Rooms without AC, but totally worth it.
  • Clear Cafe. Local, vegetarian food more expensive, but atmosphere is stunning.
  • Tannah Lot Temple (on the way to Ubud) (30.000 IDR entrance fee).
  • Monkey Forest.
  • Jungle Fish – swimming pools with wonderful view. Not a lot of people know about this place, definitely must to go!  (150 000 IDR wstęp).
  • Legong dance. Ask host in Gusti Kaler about show time .
  • Nomad. Here you can eat the best pasta.

3 day

  • A rice terrace Tegalalang.
  • Boni Bali here you can eat with the best view on Tegalalang.
  • Lookout at Batur Volcano.
  • Batur Natural Hot Spring – swimming pool with hot water. A towel and a fired banana included(150.000 IDR).
  • On the way back you can try famous coffee – Luwak” in Bali Paulina.
  • Biah Biah restaurant. A cheap beer and tasty local food.

Useful tips:
  • You should take water and a cap when you go “Kecak Dance” in Uluwatu. There is no a sun shelter and it’s so hot.
  • When you arrive at Jungle Fish after 5 pm then you don’t have to pay for entrance.
  • Don’t forget to leave your gadgets in the car when you go “Monkey Forest”. In case of the monkey attack, staff is equipped with a green laser which deters them.
  • In “Monkey Forest you can buy bananas for feeding (50,000 IDR)
  • Be sure that you took your swimsuit for “Batur Volcano” trip.

Gili Air (2 nights)

4 day

  • To Gili Air, you can get by ferry from Padang Bai. (275,000 IDR one way).
  • H&R Guest House or Jibril Guest House in a different way (85.000 IDR per person per night).
  • Have a walk up to “Gili Air RResort from “Ombak Hotel”. On the way book diving for the next day in 3W Dive and take million of gorgeous pictures!
  • Mowies, Gili Air, the restaurant ran by Poles. Really tasty food.

5 day

  • Scuba diving with 3W Dive company. It’s totally worth. We saw as many as four turtles (510 000 IDR, just 3W Dive gave us 15% discount).
  • Luckys Bar, good and cheap
  • Sunset with a good cocktail in hand on the beach near Ombak Hotel. The best idea is to buy alcohol in the shop as it’s much cheaper!

6 day

  • Come back by ferry to Padang Bai and airport shuttle. Everything is included in the tickets. Don’t go with taxi drivers who urge in the port.

Useful tips:

  • The best idea is to buy a return ticket for the ferry.
  • In Gili Air, you can find very picturable swings. We pinned them on our Google map.
  • During the day, between 12:00-15:00 usually it’s rainy.
  • If you chose Gili Air then you will meet here very helpful and kind people.
